because its the only time i have it-----------------------
About Me: born in 94. the last of the nineties kid generation before it is "too late" Enjoys watching anime, eating a lot of food, making crazy sandwiches, and lifting weights. Also draw stuff sometimes, hit up a request and i might do it.
i need more people to realize that the second you create a categorical group that deserves to be killed no matter what you have sentenced marginalized people to death
“That may be true, but it doesn’t include pieces of shit domestic abusers.”
Cue the counter accusations against Amber Heard.
“OK, but not pedophiles.”
Cue all of the “groomer” accusations from reactionaries looking to eradicate trans and queer people from public life.
“All right, but that doesn’t include LITERAL NAZIS. That’s just a warmed up version of the paradox of tolerance.”
Cue how Russia sought to justify its invasion of Ukraine and the justifications of war crimes done there. If someone didn’t support the invasion and occupation of their country, surely that meant they were one of those Ukrainians in need of de-Nazification, which justified all violations of them up to and including torture and death. The USA did similar things with “terrorists” and “enemy combatants”, and huge portions of the USAian population forgave it if not actively supporting it.
When you say, “These people lie outside of humanity and they deserve anything that happens to them,” you are guaranteeing people with power will shove their victims into that category.
That doesn’t mean pacifism. It doesn’t mean that individual abusers and fascist movement ought to only be stopped “civilly” or through debate.
It does mean that “exterminate all the brutes” will follow existing power dynamics like water flows downhill, and the people least able to defend themselves will be the ones targeted.
I haven’t made any kind of art in a long while but maybe I should go back to doing some fun amateur hour stuff. Regardless, I’ve been seeing posts about not reblogging from new accounts (I am not a new account but still) and I just want to come clean and say I very rarely reblog or like a lot of stuff but actually just send the entire post into my discord feiend group of I like the posts. Does it give any meaningful exposure? Not really. Is it a convenient way to send memes art or discussion? Not really either. Oh well *shrug*
i think it is very depressing that like every aesthetic people try to emulate are of people doing things but they themselves are incapable of being somebody that does things… the mall goth 2005 aesthetic revived in 2022 but nobody goes to the mall to be annoying and weird and nobody lets themselves be cringe… the cottagecore aesthetic but nobody knows how to raise gardens or live self sufficiently … the dark academia aesthetic but nobody actually reads books…. The obsession of looking like you are a type of person who does something without actually doing anything … the Instagram effect
